Qualifications

Earth Wall Products is a designer and supplier of retaining wall systems and construction materials used in residential, commercial, industrial, DOT and rail applications.

About the Role

Earth Wall Products is seeking a Civil/Geotechnical Engineer to be a part of a rapidly growing company that is changing the industry with innovative products. This is an in-office position at our location in Smyrna, GA. Under the direction of senior engineering staff, this position will prepare retaining wall designs for challenging projects throughout the US.

Responsibilities

• Produce engineering drawings / plans using AutoCAD.
• Develop detailed designs, sections, and quantities.
• Prepare and implement project plans based on the analysis of relevant materials such as drawings, blueprints, site design, roadway design, survey reports, maps, and other geologic and topographical data.
• Make recommendations or present alternative solutions to problems.
• Contribute to team effort by helping to accomplish related tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or other related technical fields from an ABET-accredited college/university. Classwork and/or experience in Geotechnical Engineering is required. M.S. in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering degree is a plus.
• 3-9 years of experience. (Experience level will be reflected in salary)
• Have proficient working knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
• Thorough understanding of civil engineering principles, practices, and tools.
• Ability to identify and solve complex problems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Extremely detail-oriented and accurate.

Preferred Skills

• EIT or PE certification.
• Knowledge and experience with retaining wall design, grading and roadway plans, slope stability, foundation design, and reinforced concrete is preferred.
