Job summary

Menard’s is seeking a civil engineering professional to perform field quality control testing, manage production records, and support construction activities across multiple locations in the United States. The role includes basic field surveys, resolving geometry issues, and preparing drawings to support construction work.

Responsibilities include ensuring adherence to Menard’s standards, addressing drawing interpretation conflicts, and preparing RFIs and submittals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 0-3 years of experience or equivalent.
• OSHA 30 certification required; Engineer In Training (EIT) desired.

• Preparing project submittals for materials, work plans, means & methods statements
• Maintaining and establishing relationships with project stakeholders and clients.
• Supporting the Marketing and Business Development departments by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events.
• Making technical presentations to prospects and supporting educational training of Menard clientele.

• Understanding of basic principles of Civil Engineering and Construction Management (Geotechnical Engineer and Heavy Civil Construction).

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Proficient with AutoCAD.
• 50% overnight travel required.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. 0-3 years of experience required.-OR- any equivalent combination of education and experience which meets the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking and sitting at desk.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to traverse facilities in all types of weather conditions.
