Job summary

Ames Construction is seeking a motivated Engineer to join our team in Greensboro, North Carolina. This role focuses on heavy civil construction, including highways and bridges, and offers hands-on experience in project management.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field, and ideally some internship experience. Responsibilities include assisting with project operations, reviewing plans, coordinating teams, and ensuring quality and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Internship or co-op experience in construction preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with daily project operations.
• Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Track project progress, prepare reports, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Support quality control and safety compliance on job sites.
