Job summary

Bechtel Global Corporation seeks a Construction Field Engineer to support field construction activities across Cheyenne, WY; Houston, TX; Reston, VA. You will coordinate work planning, material management, and subcontractor coordination to ensure safe, efficient project delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 1–2 years of experience (or 5–6 years without a degree). Relocation is authorized; full-time office/project work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management or other relevant technical disciplines with 1-2 years of related experience, or 5-6 years without a degree.
• Knowledge of engineering and construction methods and processes.
• Computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
• Field inspections on construction sites requiring extensive walking.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate preparation of construction drawings and sketches.
• Assist to plan construction methods and procedures.
• Contribute to field change documents and information requests.
• Prepare daily and periodic progress reports for supervisors.
• Prepare installation work packages for assigned scopes.
• Assist in cost estimates and review project BOMs for completeness.
• Initiate field requisitions and manage material takeoffs.
• Inspect received materials and ensure storage and maintenance.
• Verify commodities in tracking systems and document installations.
• Support safety, quality, and policy compliance on site.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, supervision and craft professionals.
• Assist with testing processes and automation software as applicable.
