The ideal candidate will perform quantity takeoffs from drawings, analyze costs, procure bids from vendors, and provide accurate, competitive proposals to win contracts while protecting profit margins.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering or construction management preferred.
• 3-5 years of estimating experience.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Quantity Takeoffs: Measuring and counting specific material requirements directly from architectural drawings and blueprints.
• Cost Analysis: Calculating the expenses associated with labor, specialized equipment, overhead, and insurance.
• Procurement & Bidding: Requesting quotes from vendors and subcontractors, assembling them, and submitting competitive contract proposals to clients.
• Risk Assessment: Factoring in variables like supply chain delays, market price fluctuations, and adverse weather conditions that could increase costs.
• Value Engineering: Recommending alternative materials or construction methods to reduce costs while maintaining project quality.
