Job summary

CTI and Associates, Inc. seeks a Junior Engineer to assist in developing engineering designs for solid waste and water resources. You will collaborate with senior engineers, conduct feasibility studies, and prepare technical drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Field inspections and documentation are part of the role. Requirements include a bachelor's degree in engineering and at least two years' experience in relevant sectors, with proficiency in design tools considered advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or water resources engineering (required).
• Minimum 2 years of engineering experience in solid waste, water resources, DoE/DoD sectors (required).
• Proficiency in HydroCad, HEC-RAS, and AutoCAD Civil 3D is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of engineering designs and technical solutions for solid waste, water resources and federal and state projects. Experience in water resource engineering, solid waste permitting and design and Department of Energy (DoE) and Department of Defense (DoD) requirements preferred.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to execute complex engineering projects, providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct detailed analyses, including feasibility studies and cost estimates, to ensure project alignment with scope and budget.
• Prepare technical drawings, schematics, and documentation using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar software.
• Troubleshoot and resolve engineering-related issues, applying problem-solving techniques to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct field inspections, data collection, and testing to ensure project specifications are met.
• Maintain detailed project records, reports, and documentation for compliance and future reference.
• Stay updated on the latest engineering technologies and apply best practices to improve project outcomes.
• Junior Engineer - Performs engineering analyses and detailed design with input from mentor.
• Participate in team meetings, offering insights to improve efficiency, project quality, and safety.

Education, Experience And Requirements

• Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering (civil, environmental or water resources) (required).
• Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience (required), with a background in in the solid waste, water resources and/or Department of Energy or Department of Defense sectors.
• Proficiency in engineering design software including HydroCad, HEC-RAS and AutoCad Civil 3D advantageous.
• Must receive a satisfactory pre-hire drug screen and background check.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements.
