Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group in Spokane Valley, WA, is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern to support design and construction activities for energy infrastructure projects, including substations and transmission lines. You will assist with load development, code review, framing design, foundation design, and permitting support.

Occasional site visits are possible. The role is office-based with opportunities for site visits and collaboration with senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with focus on structural design.
• Completed coursework in structures, concrete, and steel.
• Familiarity with structural modeling software such as RISA, STAAD.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and take direction from senior engineers.

About This Role

As a Structural Engineering Intern, you will work under the guidance of experienced engineers to support design and construction activities for large energy infrastructure projects including substations, transmission lines, data centers, and others. You will assist with tasks such as load development, code review, framing design, foundation design, and permitting support. This role is primarily office-based, with opportunities for occasional site visits.

What You'll Do

Compensation Range

The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $24.00/Hr. - depending on experience and qualifications.
