Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to join our Baton Rouge, LA team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of civil engineering design and project management experience supporting design projects.

This role involves complex engineering design tasks, marketing, business development, client contact, and growth of a design team, with responsibilities spanning project delivery and QA/QC across multiple concurrent projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Louisiana (or capable of obtaining).
• Proficiency in computer-aided design software.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Project Engineer.
• Management experience in AR, Invoicing, and overall duties involved in managing a design team.

Responsibilities

• Management of projects from inception through completion.
• Provide direction and manage work quality of a team of engineering designers, interns, and technicians.
• Assist in preparing and managing proposals, contracts, invoicing, work in process and accounts receivable.
• Represent clients and firm in meetings with governmental agencies.
• Prepare, maintain, coordinate project schedules of multiple concurrent projects with clients and design team.
• Communicate directly with clients and public governing agencies.
• Developing and tracking project milestones to ensure on-time and on-budget project delivery.
• Recruit, manage, develop, lead, inspire and coach design team.
• Prepare plan documents and supporting design calculations.
• Produce high-quality work and implement and maintain QA/QC procedures.
• Be active in business development.
• Resolve design conflicts and field construction issues.
• Overseeing the technical and financial aspects of various projects.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and support services.

• Management of projects from inception through completion
• Provide direction and manage work quality of a team of engineering designers, interns, and technicians
