Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Summer 2027 Engineering Student Intern to join our team in North Kansas City, MO. You will work on civil design projects, help with grading, drainage, utilities, and site layout for government facilities, and support engineers with calculations, reports, and construction documents in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

You are pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, enjoy teamwork, and bring knowledge of AutoCAD (Civil 3D a plus) and Microsoft Office.

Job Description

As a summer 2027 engineering student intern, you will perform meaningful, hands-on, real-world work that will transform your classroom experience and help you envision your future career. You'll be part of a team, working for our clients on projects with our experienced engineers. You will assist in all areas of conventional civil design, including grading, drainage, utilities, and site layout, to help shape critical infrastructure projects that support military bases, VA campuses, and other essential government facilities. You'll also assist with analytical duties including preparing calculations, writing technical reports, and producing construction documents in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
