Job summary

Skanska offers an internship program for current students in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management and related fields. The program provides exposure to engineering and field roles across multiple project types, with a pay rate of $25/hour.

Reports to Project Manager, Superintendent and department staff. Intern positions include Engineering, Field Engineering, Cost Engineering, Safety Engineering, Estimating, and Equipment/Maintenance.

Qualifications

• Working toward Bachelor's in Construction Management, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field or equivalent through experience.
• Knowledge of basic phases of construction projects.
• Knowledge of mathematics functions (geometry, basic algebra).
• Computer skills (MS Office, HCSS, CGC, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Support engineering, field engineering, cost engineering, safety engineering, estimating, and equipment/maintenance teams.
• Assist project teams under supervision from Project Manager or Superintendent.
• Participate in project tasks to gain hands-on experience in construction environments.
