Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Engineering Intern in Denver, CO, to support Water market projects and other assignments. You will assist with design tasks, data collection, documentation, and presentation of solutions, while gaining exposure to project lifecycle activities.

The role emphasizes strong communication, analytical skills, and a proactive learning attitude. Interns may participate in benefits programs and must be authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

  • Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited program
  • ABET accreditation strongly preferred
  • Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred
  • Active involvement in campus, community or other volunteer activities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Self-motivated and eager learner

Responsibilities

  • Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentations
  • Assist with responses to general questions
  • Participate in data collection and analysis for continuous improvement
  • Present solutions to concerns and recommend fixes
  • Support ad hoc projects as assigned by managers
  • Perform duties in line with policies and standards
