Job summary

STV is seeking an enthusiastic Civil Engineering Intern to join our team in a hybrid role, requiring at least 3 days in the office weekly. This internship is open to undergraduate and graduate students who can commit to at least 3 months and can work full-time.

Responsibilities include assisting in project design from concept to completion, collaborating with architects and environmental engineers, interfacing with clients and regulators, and using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering at an ABET-accredited University or NCEES equivalent.
• Preferred knowledge of MicroStation, Civil 3D, AutoCAD.
• Experience in the architecture/engineering/construction management industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in civil engineering project design from concept to completion.

• Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to address project-related issues.
• Provide support in feasibility studies, site investigations, and risk assessments.
• Assist in preparing technical reports, narratives, and development applications.
• Contribute to engineering designs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Civil 3D, and related tools.
• Learn and apply current engineering standards and procedures on assigned projects.
• Assist in preparing technical proposals and project documentation.
• Perform other tasks to support project goals and team objectives.

Job description

STV is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Civil Engineering Intern to join our team. This internship offers an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate-level candidates to work alongside our experienced team, learn, and contribute to meaningful projects. This hybrid position requires at least 3 days a week in the office. Preference will be given to those who can participate in the internship for at least 3 months and can work full-time.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing civil engineering projects from conceptualization through to completion, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and project specifications.
• Collaborate with architects, environmental engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate various project elements seamlessly.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to address project-related issues and ensure project success.
• Provide support in conducting feasibility studies, site investigations, and risk assessments to inform project design and development.
• Assist in preparing technical reports, narratives, and development applications.
• Contribute to the development of engineering designs and work with engineering software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Learn and apply current engineering standards and procedures to assigned projects.
• Provide assistance with the preparation of technical proposals and documentation for engineering projects.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor to support project goals and team objectives.

Required

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of MicroStation, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and/or Open Roads Designer.
• Experience in the architecture/engineering/construction management industry.

Compensation Range

$47,959.00 - $54,498.00
