Job summary

HNTB Corporation is hiring 2027 Summer Interns for our Bellevue, WA office to support Construction Management, Roadway, Transportation, Rail and Aviation groups. This on-site internship requires enrollment in an accredited engineering program and offers exposure to multiple disciplines within infrastructure.

Relocation housing is not provided. The approximate pay range in Washington is $25.28 - $37.92 per hour, reflecting local market rates for interns.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and active enrollment in an engineering program.
• Enrolment in a post-secondary engineering curriculum is required.
• Interest in infrastructure and transportation is preferred.

Our Bellevue Office is hiring 2027 Summer Interns to make an impact in our Construction Management, Roadway, Transportation, Rail and Aviation groups. Please note that this is an on-site opportunity, and relocation assistance or housing is not provided.

What You'll Do

• Assists engineer teams in various tasks and duties.
• Assists Engineer with research, development and design of projects.
• Assists Engineer with the preparation of engineering drawings and documents as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent plus current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program

You'll Bring

• Understands engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles at a basic level.
• Shows proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Accepts and applies direction from peers and supervisors.
• Obtains an understanding of introductory shop drawing and submittal procedures and requirements.
• Ability to perform basic engineering calculations
• Ability to organize information for use in drawings or other documents

We Prefer

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Completion of 2 years of post-secondary engineering program.
• Strong interest in infrastructure and transportation.

The approximate pay range for Washington is $25.28 - $37.92. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position based on all selected locations within the state at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
