Loureiro Engineering Associates, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our Building & Land Engineering team in Plainville, CT.

This paid internship offers hands-on experience in civil site design and development, applying classroom knowledge to real-world projects. From day one, you will support active design work and collaborate with experienced engineers and surveyors on tasks that directly impact our clients and communities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or related field with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, HydroCAD, MicroStation or similar design software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; eager to learn and contribute.

Responsibilities

• Assist in site layout, grading, drainage, and utility planning.
• Support preparation of plans, drawings, and permit applications.
• Use AutoCAD, HydroCAD, and other software to support design and analysis.
• Conduct site visits and field investigations under supervision.
• Collaborate with survey crews to collect and document field data.
• Contribute to construction oversight and reporting tasks.
• Perform other engineering-related duties as assigned.
