Job summary

Jacobs invites applications for Transportation Engineering Interns to work on large-scale infrastructure projects, including highway design and related transportation tasks. You will collaborate with Professional Engineers and Project Managers to deliver bold solutions that improve everyday life.

The role supports design calculations, technical reports, and CAD drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D while you learn local, state, and federal design standards.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a degree seeking program in Civil or Transportation Engineering or a closely related field.
• Knowledge of and experience using CADD/Design software (preferably AutoCAD Civil 3D).
• Previous experience design or transportation-related coursework (preferred).
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship (now or in the future).

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic highway/roadway geometric design calculations
• Help prepare technical reports and design documentation
• Utilizing CADD to prepare various engineering drawings, layouts, and/or models to communicate project details in accordance with established standards and procedures
• Familiarize with local, state, and federal design standards and requirements

We are looking for Transportation/ Civil Engineering Interns interested in working on exciting and engaging large-scale infrastructure projects including highway/roadway design and other transportation related projects. Project opportunities may include supporting the design of interstate highways and freeway interchanges. You’ll work with the best Professional Engineers and Project Managers in the business. Your Responsibilities May Include

• Assistin basic highway/roadway geometric design calculations

The base salary range for this position is $45,000.00 to $65,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
