Job summary

The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. is offering 2027 internship opportunities in Columbus, OH. Interns will support active projects, perform fieldwork, data collection and analysis, and prepare plans and reports under supervision.

Applicants should be enrolled in an ABET-accredited program or related field, with strong communication and teamwork skills. AutoCAD or GIS experience is helpful, but not required. Benefits include a 401(k) with company match and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited engineering program or a related environmental science, surveying, GIS, planning, or similar technical program.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and teamwork skills; attention to detail.
• Basic Microsoft Office knowledge; willingness to learn.
• AutoCAD or GIS experience preferred but not required.
• Previous internship experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist project teams with technical and administrative tasks.
• Participate in construction/site inspections, field sampling and testing as applicable.
• Collect, organize, analyze, and enter project data.
• Support the preparation of plans, drawings, and related materials using AutoCAD.
• Conduct office research and assist with reports and project documentation.
• Enter, update, and maintain GIS data.
