Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering students to join our Warrenville, Illinois office. This internship is not remote and offers hands-on experience in civil engineering design and analysis.

You will work with software like AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, and GIS, supporting project teams across disciplines and learning applicable regulations and standards.

Qualifications

• Pursuing ABET-accredited engineering degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in Civil/Environmental or related majors.

Responsibilities

• Use technical software to analyze, produce, and QC client deliverables.
• Assist in pre-construction civil design, planning, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
• Collaborate across disciplines to realize client visions for the built environment.
• Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations and company standards.
• Learn and apply software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, MicroStation, GIS.

Overview

Kimley-Horn is looking for Engineering students to join our Warrenville, Illinois (IL) office! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients.
• Contribute to the pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects ranging in size and scope.
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment.
• Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards.
• Interns will learn one or more software programs specific to their disciplines: AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and/or GIS

Qualifications

• In the process of receiving an ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) in one of the following majors:
  • Civil and/or Environmental Engineering
  • Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering
  • Engineering Technology

Salary Range: $28/Hour-$29/Hour
