Job summary

TYLin International is seeking a Civil Engineering student or graduate to support engineering projects during their early career. Based in Irvine, you will assist with quantity take-offs, project monitoring, scheduling, and computer modeling under the supervision of senior engineers.

You will help produce drawings, calculations, and cost estimates, apply codes and standards, and participate in site visits. Ideal candidates are in their 3rd or 4th year, with strong organization, communication,

Qualifications

• Current 3rd or 4th year in an accredited Civil Engineering program or graduate student.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel; engineering software such as SAP2000, CSI Bridge; AutoCAD or MicroStation preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Become familiar with engineering plans and details.
• Perform quantity take-offs.
• Assist with project monitoring and scheduling.
• Assist with computer modeling.
• Assist with producing progress reports.
• Collaborate with other engineers, drafters, and support staff
• Assist in producing engineering drawings, calculations and cost estimates under supervision of senior engineers
• Apply codes and standards in the production of engineering deliverables
• Attend site visits or inspections
