Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Denton, Texas office is seeking engineering graduates with 1+ years of experience to join the Water/Wastewater team. This is an on-site role focused on design and project execution.

Training and mentorship are provided to develop plan production, project financials, and client interactions. Ideal candidates have a civil engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program, hands-on AutoCAD Civil 3D skills, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience at a civil engineering design firm.
• ABET-accredited university degree in Civil Engineering (Bachelor's or Master's).
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Overview

Kimley-Horn's Denton, Texas (TX) office is looking for Engineering graduates with 1+ years of experience to join their Water/Wastewater team. This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Responsible with assisting in the design of water transmission and distribution systems, pumping stations, conveyance systems, water treatment systems, water/wastewater distribution planning, master planning, and treatment plant rehabilitation and expansions
• Projects will include a variety of municipal water and wastewater utilities designs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to contribute to the successful completion of assigned projects
• Maintaining a high degree of quality sets of plans along with checking the work of others
• As a critical member of the team, you will perform a variety of engineering tasks and will receive both on-the-job and formal training as well as mentorship and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions

Qualifications

• 1+years experience with a civil engineering design firm
• Bachelors or Masters from an ABET accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
• Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
• Ability to work independently and as a team
