Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering graduates to join our Mobile, Alabama office in 2027. This is not a remote position and offers opportunities to work on multiple projects across disciplines.

Responsibilities include analyzing deliverables with technical software, supporting pre-construction civil design, and learning regulatory practices. New hires will gain exposure to AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, and GIS tools within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• ABET accredited engineering degree required by Summer 2027.
• Degrees listed include Civil and/or Environmental Engineering; Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical or Agricultural Engineering; Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical software to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
• Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification and permitting.
• Solve complex problems and collaborate across disciplines to realize client visions.
• Develop familiarity with regulations and company/ client practices and standards.
• Learn software tools relevant to discipline (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, GIS).

Overview

Kimley-Horn is looking for Engineering graduates to join our Mobile, Alabama (AL) office in 2027! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients.


• Contribute to the pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects ranging in size and scope.


• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment.


• Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards.


• Analysts will learn one or more software programs specific to their disciplines: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and/or GIS.

Qualifications

• An ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2027 in one of the following majors:
