Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering graduates to join our Denton, Texas office in 2027. This is not a remote position and offers exposure to multiple civil engineering projects in pre-construction design, permitting, and analysis.

Selected candidates will use programs such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, MicroStation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and GIS, and will engage with project managers across disciplines while learning regulatory requirements and company standards.

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited engineering degree by Summer 2027 in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering or related majors.
  • Majors listed include Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical or Agricultural Engineering or Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, produce, and QC deliverables using technical software.
  • Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, permitting, and analysis across projects of varying size.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to realize clients’ visions for the built environment; assist project managers on complex problems.
  • Learn and apply federal, state, and local regulations and company practices.
  • Gain proficiency in software programs used in the discipline (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and GIS).

Overview

Kimley-Horn is looking for Engineering graduates to join our Denton, Texas (TX) office in 2027! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients.
  • Contribute to the pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects ranging in size and scope.
  • Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment.
  • Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards.
  • Analysts will learn one or more software programs specific to their disciplines: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and/or GIS.
Qualifications
  • An ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2027 in one of the following majors:
