EFK Moen, LLC in St. Louis, Missouri, seeks a Transportation Design Engineer for our full-time St. Louis office. The role focuses on civil engineering design services for transportation projects, with a portfolio spanning public and private sectors.

Qualified candidates will have a BS in Civil Engineering, 4+ years of plan prep experience, and a PE license. Knowledge of Microstation, OpenRoads, Geopak, and possibly AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred, with MoDOT experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• 4+ years of hands-on plan preparation experience for public agency roadway projects.
• PE license required.
• Proficiency in Microstation and a transportation design package; AutoCAD/Civil3D background acceptable.
• Working knowledge of DOT/AASHTO Standards.
• DOT project experience (MoDOT a plus).
• Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and general office software.

Starting Salary Range: $80,000-105,000

EFK Moen, LLC, is a civil engineering design consulting firm headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri with additional office locations in St. Charles, Missouri, Chicago and Fairview Heights, Illinois, and Atlanta, Georgia. We are currently seeking a transportation design engineer for a full-time position in our St. Louis, Missouri office. Job Description

The transportation engineer will perform civil engineering design services in a team-oriented environment. Project emphasis is transportation engineering design for both public and private sectors which range in scope from small to multimillion-dollar designs. Services are provided to a wide range of clients that include state DOTs and other governmental agencies - municipal, county and state.

Duties & Responsibilities

The following duties are typical for this position:

• Daily production of civil engineering design plans
• Work as part of a team to deliver quality design that adheres to the project budget and schedule
• Responsible and accountable for client/customer satisfaction and technical project execution
• Performs other job duties as assigned

Knowledge/Qualifications, Skills & Abilities

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college/university required
• 4+ years of hands-on plan preparation experience for public agency roadway projects
• PE license required
• Proficiency in Microstation as well as a related transportation design package (OpenRoads Designer, Geopak) although candidates with an AutoCAD/Civil3D background will also be considered
• Working knowledge of DOT/AASHTO Standards
• DOT project experience is (MoDOT is a plus)
• Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other general office software

Physical Qualifications

• Ability to sit at desk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to type and/or use a computer for extended periods of time.
• Sufficient visual ability to focus attention on extended use of electronic documents and software.
