  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 2-6 years of civil engineering design experience.
  • Transportation or roadway design experience preferred.
  • EIT required with active progress toward PE licensure, or PE preferred.
  • Experience with Civil 3D preferred.
  • Understanding of engineering design standards and construction documents.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design roadway, street, sidewalk, trail, and transportation improvement projects
  • Prepare plan and profile sheets, grading plans, drainage designs, and utility coordination documents
  • Assist with intersection improvements, ADA compliance upgrades, signing, and pavement marking plans
  • Develop construction quantities, cost estimates, specifications, and bid documents
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, agencies, and internal design teams
  • Support construction administration activities, including submittal reviews, RFIs, and field observations

Job description

Our client is a growing multidisciplinary consulting firm seeking a Civil Engineer to join its transportation team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with 2-6 years of experience looking to expand their design responsibilities, work on impactful public infrastructure projects, and build a long-term career with a firm known for employee development and ownership opportunities.

You’ll support a variety of transportation projects for municipalities, DOT clients, and regional agencies, while working alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

Responsibilities
  • Design roadway, street, sidewalk, trail, and transportation improvement projects
  • Prepare plan and profile sheets, grading plans, drainage designs, and utility coordination documents
  • Assist with intersection improvements, ADA compliance upgrades, signing, and pavement marking plans
