Job summary

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Mississippi seeks a qualified engineer to plan, develop, and administer an assigned portion of the MVK District's Inspection and Evaluation Program.

You will help ensure the safety and operational adequacy of levees, pumping stations, dams, locks, drainage structures, bridges, and other critical civil works. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in engineering (ABET-accredited preferred) and professional licensure or registration (EI/EIT/PE).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Education/experience meeting core engineering knowledge and application as described in the standard.
• Professional licensure (EI/EIT/PE) by a state licensure board.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, and administers an assigned portion of the District's Inspection and Evaluation Program.
• Ensures safety and operational adequacy of MVK District structures including levees, pumping stations, flood control dams, navigation locks and dams, drainage structures, and bridges.

Education
