Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
  • PE licensure preferred; EIT candidates progressing toward PE licensure will be considered.
  • Experience with civil design software listed above.
  • Experience with applicable design standards, codes, permitting, and regulatory processes.
  • Experience preparing calculations, plans, specs, reports and construction documents.

Responsibilities

  • Land/Site Development: site planning, grading, drainage, stormwater management, utility design, permitting, construction documents.
  • Transportation/Roadway: roadway geometry, alignments, drainage, signage, pavement markings, traffic control, infrastructure design.
  • Water/Wastewater: design of water distribution, wastewater collection, pumping, treatment, transmission, utility infrastructure.
  • Water Resources/Stormwater: hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, drainage design, detention/retention systems, floodplain analysis.
  • Municipal Infrastructure: design and rehabilitation of streets, utilities, drainage systems, and public works.
  • Prepare engineering calculations, reports, plans, specs, cost estimates, and permitting packages.
  • Support projects through planning, preliminary engineering, final design, permitting, bidding, and construction administration.
  • Coordinate with municipalities, DOTs, utility authorities, regulatory agencies, clients, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide project coordination, technical guidance, client interaction, and mentorship based on experience level.

The firm is seeking engineers with experience in land/site development, transportation/roadway, water/wastewater, water resources/stormwater, or municipal infrastructure. Responsibilities will align with the individual's technical expertise and experience; candidates are not expected to have backgrounds across multiple civil disciplines.

Responsibilities
  • Land/Site Development: Site planning, grading, drainage, stormwater management, utility design, erosion control, permitting, and preparation of construction documents
  • Transportation/Roadway: Roadway geometry, horizontal and vertical alignments, intersections, drainage, signing and pavement markings, traffic control, and transportation infrastructure design
  • Water/Wastewater: Design of water distribution, wastewater collection, pumping, treatment, transmission, utility infrastructure, and related municipal systems
  • Water Resources/Stormwater: Hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, drainage design, stormwater modeling, detention/retention systems, floodplain analysis, watershed studies, and stormwater management
  • Municipal Infrastructure: Design and rehabilitation of streets, utilities, drainage systems, water/wastewater infrastructure, and other public works improvements
  • Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, plans, specifications, cost estimates, permitting packages, and construction documents applicable to your discipline
  • Support projects through planning, preliminary engineering, final design, permitting, bidding, and construction administration
  • Coordinate with municipalities, DOTs, utility authorities, regulatory agencies, clients, and multidisciplinary project teams
  • Provide project coordination, technical guidance, client interaction, and mentorship based on experience level
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required
  • Current civil engineering design experience within a consulting engineering or AEC environment preferred
  • Relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: Land/Site Development or Transportation/Roadway or Water/Wastewater or Water Resources or Municipal Infrastructure/Utilities
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred; EIT candidates actively progressing toward PE licensure will also be considered
  • Experience with applicable civil engineering design and modeling platforms such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, CivilWorks, WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, StormCAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, InfoWorks, or similar discipline-specific engineering software preferred
  • Working knowledge of applicable engineering design standards, codes, permitting requirements, and regulatory processes
  • Experience preparing engineering calculations, plans, specifications, reports, and/or construction documents applicable to your area of expertise
