Job summary

Coffman Engineers is seeking a Civil Engineer with 3–6 years of experience for our Bay Area office. The role covers civil design, permitting and construction support within a multidiscipline team and offers growth in a collaborative, engaging culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Civil Engineer-In-Training (E.I.T.) required.
• Registration as a Civil Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred.
• 3–6 years of civil design, permitting and construction assistance.
• Experience in land development, grading, drainage, site utilities, storm water, ADA accessibility.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Ability to work on multiple tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Team player with critical thinking and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Provide civil engineering services from feasibility through design, permitting and construction support for the Bay Area office.
• Contribute to multi-discipline teams and collaborate with internal and client teams.
• Support project scoping, proposals and technical design efforts.
• Adapt to a mix of design, consulting and construction support work while maintaining work-life balance.
