Job summary

Actalent in Stamford, CT is seeking a Civil Engineer to design portions of civil engineering projects with growing independence. You will perform calculations, specify components from catalogs, and guide drafters to translate designs into drawings.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and an EIT certification or equivalent. The position is fully onsite with a pay range of $65,000 to $75,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Interest in site design/land development.
• Knowledge of drainage and grading.
• EIT certification preferred.
• Proficiency with engineering software tools.

Responsibilities

• Design portions of civil engineering projects independently.
• Perform engineering calculations using standard formulas.
• Specify components and materials from engineering catalogs.
• Instruct drafters to translate designs into drawings.
• Conduct research and prepare technical opinions or reports.
• Use engineering software to solve routine design problems.
• Support task budgeting under supervision of a Project Manager.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures.
• Take on increasing responsibilities as experience grows.
• Perform other related work as needed.
