Job summary

Fleming Engineering Inc., based in Arden, NC, is seeking a Civil Senior Project Manager (PE) to lead land development projects from concept to construction. You’ll act as Engineer-of-Record and PM, guiding teams and maintaining client relationships while delivering quality, on-time results.

The ideal candidate holds an active NC PE license, a ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree, 10+ years in land development, and at least 3 years in leadership.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina PE license required.
• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• 10+ years in land development engineering.
• 3+ years leading projects or managing people.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Clear communicator and confident leader.
• Valid NC driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead land development projects as Engineer-of-Record and PM.
• Take responsibility for project outcomes: quality, timelines, budgets, and client satisfaction.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies.
• Guide and mentor Assistant Project Managers and technical staff.
• Design and review site plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D, including: Grading, erosion control, and subdivisions; Water, sewer, and stormwater systems; Stormwater management and final plats.
• Coordinate permitting and approvals with local and state agencies.
• Represent projects in meetings with boards, agencies, and stakeholders.
