Job summary

The ideal candidate will deliver civil and utility infrastructure projects for local public agencies, coordinating permitting and environmental regulations with municipalities and utility providers. Requirements include a Texas-licensed PE with at least 6 years of relevant experience, a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field, and proficiency in Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with permitting processes with the coastal bend region.
• Proven project and/or task management experience.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, including grading, pavements, drainage, stormwater management, and utility design.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D and common engineering software tools.
• General Contractor License a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver civil engineering projects from concept through construction.
• Coordinate zoning, permitting, and environmental regulations with local municipalities, regulatory agencies, and utility providers.
• Perform site evaluations, due diligence, and feasibility assessments for municipal and local public agency infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, drainage reports, and permit submittals.
• Collaborate with project managers to define scope, schedules, and budgets for proposed projects.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and supporting resources.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff.
• Coordinate with surveyors, environmental scientists, structural engineers, water/wastewater and water resource engineers.
