Job summary

Bureau of Reclamation's Technical Service Center seeks a Civil Engineer (Project Manager) to join the Project Management Group. The role leads technical teams, develops project plans, and oversees complex water resources projects with emphasis on quality deliverables and timely outcomes.

The position requires coordinating studies, analyses, and reports, communicating findings to leadership, and ensuring adherence to standards across engineering products and studies.

Qualifications

  • At least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-12.
  • Experience planning, organizing, and managing complex engineering projects.
  • Experience reviewing designs, analyses, or reports for accuracy and compliance.
  • Applied civil engineering knowledge in support of water storage, conveyance, treatment, hydropower, or pumping systems.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and direct engineering studies, designs, and projects requiring advanced analysis.
  • Perform engineering analyses including data collection, modeling, and risk assessments.
  • Provide technical reviews and QA of designs, drawings, and contract documents.
  • Lead technical teams, manage project scope, schedule, and milestones.
  • Apply project management principles to plan, coordinate, monitor, and close projects.
