Job summary

Abonmarche in Benton Harbor, MI seeks a Civil Engineer to join our team. The role covers municipal and private projects such as roadways, sewers, water mains, bridges, and trails, with design work in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

You will assist in project estimates, client communication, and reports, while contributing to site design and analysis. Our mentorship-based culture supports growth and collaborative, community-focused work.

Qualifications

• BS Civil Engineering required; EIT or PE preferred.
• Strong communication skills and written/verbal ability.
• Experience with civil design software and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for municipal and private projects including roadway reconstruction, sanitary sewers, storm sewers, water mains, bridges, trails, and asset management.
• Assist in client contact and communication for specific projects.
• Assist in development of estimates of probable construction cost.
• Attend client meetings and prepare reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, and tests.
• Develop computer models for hydraulics, hydrology, traffic and terrain using CAD tools.
• Review construction site progress and contribute to contract documentation.
