Job summary

Responsibilities include organizing field work, reviewing data, assisting with permit applications, and supporting project management tasks. Candidates should be pursuing a civil engineering degree, aim to obtain E.I. certification, and have strong communication, organization, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Civil preferred or currently enrolled in a four-year accredited program.
• Ability to obtain or already obtained Engineer Intern (E.I.) certification.
• Experience with execution of various civil projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with strong emphasis on team relations.
• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Ability to exercise initiative and innovative thinking.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an insurable driving record.
• Experience with AutoCAD and other drafting/design software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft technical documentation supporting design decisions and observations, reviewing data, and data entry.
• Prepare basic design calculations and analyses.
• Use design software to design systems and facility improvements per guidance of a licensed engineer.
• Present findings to colleagues and clients on proposals, RFIs, and project designs.
• Assist with various engineering and environmental projects.
• Manage safety compliance with all clients and internal requirements and keep up with training.
• Assist with project tasks, such as researching, compiling data, preparing reports, and addressing plan comments.
