Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Civil Graduate Engineer to support a licensed Civil Engineer on a project team. You’ll focus on learning company practices and local codes while gaining proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D, stormwater and infrastructure design, and building plans.

The role emphasizes organization, self-motivation, and collaborative problem solving to deliver designs on schedule and within budget. A pathway to Professional Engineer licensure is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or ability to obtain within 6-12 months.
• Engineer-in-Training Certificate, or the ability to obtain within 6-12 months.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exhibits and design drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Coordinate with agency staff and internal teams on designs and issues.
• Prepare entitlement documents for Tentative Maps, Vacations, Zone Changes, Entitlements, etc.
• Calculate quantities using Excel and write justification letters in Word.
• Assist with construction drawings including grading plans, plan & profiles, storm drain, water and sewer facilities.
