Job summary

Wiley|Wilson invites early-career Civil Engineers to join our 100% employee-owned firm. As a Civil EIT, you will design civil systems for site development, under licensed Engineers, across Virginia and North Carolina offices including Richmond, Raleigh, Lynchburg, and Alexandria.

You will contribute to grading, drainage, hydrology, and utilities, gain exposure to multiple markets, and participate in field investigations and construction administration.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of Civil Engineering experience
• ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• EIT certification and Civil 3D experience

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of civil systems including grading, drainage, hydrology, and utilities for site development projects.

As a Civil EIT, you will contribute to the design of civil systems including grading, drainage, hydrology, and utilities for a variety of site development projects. Working under the guidance of licensed Engineers you'll gain exposure to multiple markets and geographies, expanding your knowledge and deepening your skills in building systems design. Your responsibilities will include preparing stormwater management calculations, reports, and design drawings, participating in field investigations, and performing construction administration services. We're looking for an independent self-starter who can navigate efficiently through various design stages, from concept plans to construction documents, and who brings strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with peers and clients.

Requirements:

We are seeking candidates with 2-4 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution. Candidates must hold an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification and should have hands-on experience using Autodesk Civil 3D. We value individuals who thrive in a team environment, bring a positive attitude, and demonstrate the ability to multitask while remaining self-motivated to deliver high-quality work. A strong desire to learn, grow professionally, and take initiative is equally important. Additionally, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and be able to obtain a security clearance.
