Job summary

GBA's Civil Engineer II: Wastewater Engineer role focuses on designing and improving infrastructure to support growing communities. You'll work with a team of engineers on wastewater treatment and collection projects, building technical expertise and progressing toward licensure.

You will engage in field investigations, prepare drawings and specifications, and collaborate across disciplines while advancing toward greater project responsibilities in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biological Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Passed the FE exam and actively working toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, design, and development of wastewater collection and treatment infrastructure.
• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Conduct field investigations and site visits.
• Assist with technical reports, cost estimates, project documentation, and construction administration.
• Apply engineering principles related to hydraulics, pipeline networks, and wastewater treatment systems.

• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Conduct field investigations and site visits.

What You'll Bring

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biological Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Passed the FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) exam and actively working toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.

Technical Skills

• Familiarity with AutoCAD and GIS software.
• Experience in the design of wastewater systems.
• Ability to utilize modeling software such as HEC-RAS, InfoWorks, GPS-X, and PCSWMM.
• Knowledge of EPA, state, and local regulatory requirements.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam.

Travel
