Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a driven Civil Engineer to support our federal team in a hybrid role in Honolulu, HI. You will perform civil design calculations, prepare site layouts, and coordinate with engineers and technicians to ensure design integrity.

The ideal candidate holds a PE license, 5+ years of on-site development experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Bluebeam. U.S. Citizenship is required. This full-time role offers a comprehensive benefits package and a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required.
  • Minimum 5 years of on-site development project experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

  • Perform non-routine and complex civil design tasks.
  • Coordinate with design originator and Project Managers.
  • Flexible in assignments and team allocations.
  • Research and apply regulatory requirements and design standards.
  • Review drawings for completeness and plan approaches with minimal supervision.
  • Possible travel, including international travel.

We are looking for a driven and curious Civil Engineer to support our federal team in a hybrid capacity in our Honolulu, HI office.

As a key member ofour team, you’ll join our collaborative process providing our clients with award-winning planning, engineering, architectural design, construction management, and design-build project delivery. You’ll be performing civil design calculations and, preparing site and utility layouts while conforming to design standards for a variety of site development and infrastructure projects. You’ll have the opportunity to coordinate project assignments with other engineers and technicians in and out of your discipline group to review and recommend required changes to drawings supplied by contractors, clients, and other engineers. Responsibilities include
  • Perform non-routine and complex assignments from verbal instructions
  • Work closely with design originator and Project Managers
  • Flexible in work assignments and team assignments
  • Research and implement regulatory requirements and design standards
  • Review drawings for completenessAnalyze sketches, notes and other input material to determine and plan the best approach to develop designs with minimal supervision
  • Some travel may be required, including international
Here’s what you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience on site development projects including project design
  • PE license obtained
  • United States Citizenship
  • AutoCAD, Civil 3D design experience
  • Experience with Bluebeam software

The base salary range for this position is $91,400.00 to $150,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
