Job summary

MAS Consulting Engineers is seeking a Civil Engineer (EIT) in Fort Worth to contribute to municipal infrastructure and private development projects. You’ll work with seasoned Professional Engineers on real designs from concept through construction, gaining hands-on experience in permitting, coordination, and field support.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program and an EIT or eligibility, with knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, or eligibility to obtain certification shortly after graduation.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design of water, wastewater, drainage, roadway, and site development projects.
• Develop grading plans, utility layouts, profiles, and construction details.
• Perform engineering calculations, quantity takeoffs, and construction cost estimates.
• Coordinate with project managers, surveyors, utility companies, and public agencies.
• Respond to plan review comments and assist with permitting efforts.
• Participate in occasional field visits and construction observations.
• Support projects from concept through construction.

MAS Consulting Engineers is an established civil engineering firm with over 10 years of experience located in downtown Fort Worth. We specialize in the planning, design, and construction support of municipal infrastructure and private development projects throughout North Texas.

We're looking for a motivated Civil Engineer (EIT) who is ready to build a successful career in civil engineering. At MAS, you'll work directly with experienced Professional Engineers on real projects from concept through construction while gaining hands-on experience in design, permitting, client coordination, and construction support.

You’ll contribute to a variety of municipal infrastructure and private development projects throughout North Texas, including:

Sanitary sewer collection systems

Storm drainage systems

Roadway and paving improvements

Site development and grading

Utility infrastructure improvements

What You’ll Learn

As an EIT at MAS, you’ll gain experience in:

Qualifications Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university

Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, or eligibility to obtain certification shortly after graduation

Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D

Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Preferred

1 to 3 years of civil engineering experience or a recent graduate

Experience with municipal infrastructure or land development projects

Familiarity with North Texas municipal design standards

Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software is a plus
