Job summary

Thomas & Hutton in Georgia is seeking a Civil Engineer with 3+ years of land development experience to design site infrastructure for data center and mission-critical projects. You’ll work with AutoCAD Civil 3D, develop layouts, and contribute to client meetings and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited)
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months (PE path preferred)
• 3+ years designing land development projects with Civil 3D
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and surface modeling
• Experience with water/sewer plan and profile design; duct bank design a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and client interaction abilities
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize workflow
• Strong problem‑solving and attention to detail
• Excellent time management in a fast-paced, team-driven environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities

• Prepare site development drawings for mission‑critical and data center projects
• Design water, sewer, storm drainage and underground utilities
• Develop design calculations and supporting documentation
• Prepare reports, specifications, permits, and documentation
• Model infrastructure in AutoCAD Civil 3D with surface and utilities
• Analyze site data and entitlements to support client site selection
• Participate in client meetings and multidisciplinary coordination
• Review others’ work for quality and consistency
• Manage tasks to meet scope, schedule and quality goals
