SNIPEBRIDGE is seeking a Civil Engineer to design airside and landside airport infrastructure, including pavements, drainage, and utilities. The role focuses on safe, efficient operations within active airport environments in Dallas, TX.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
  • 5+ years of civil engineering experience; airport or transportation infrastructure experience preferred.
  • EIT required; Professional Engineer license preferred or the ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Design airport pavements, grading, drainage, utilities, roadways, and related civil infrastructure.
  • Prepare calculations, reports, specifications, cost estimates, permit documents, and construction plans.
  • Apply FAA Advisory Circulars, airport standards, local criteria, and sponsor requirements.
  • Coordinate geometry, safety areas, phasing, access, utilities, lighting, and operational constraints.
  • Collaborate with planners, architects, surveyors, geotechnical engineers, electrical engineers, and airport stakeholders.
  • Support bidding, submittal review, RFIs, site observation, testing, and construction closeout.
  • Manage technical tasks against schedule, budget, quality, and grant-related requirements.
  • Assist with field investigations and condition assessments in secure or controlled areas.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of pavement, grading, drainage, utility, or roadway design
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D or OpenRoads; airfield design and pavement-analysis tools are a plus
  • Familiarity with FAA airport design and construction standards preferred
  • EIT required; Professional Engineer license preferred or the ability to obtain one
  • Ability to obtain required airport badging and travel to project sites
