About the Role:

The Special Projects Division of KPFF is growing and looking for an enthusiastic and initiative-driven Civil Engineer to strengthen our dynamic team in Seattle, WA. What You’ll Be Doing:

Civil Design and Development:

• Apply your engineering expertise to diverse projects, collaborating with teams to devise innovative solutions drawing on best practices in areas such as grading and paving, storm drains, sewer, and water for various land development projects
• Contribute to projects involving waterfront developments and industrial developments, leveraging your skills to drive successful outcomes in these specialized areas.
• Learn to assess risks and develop mitigation strategies to contribute to project success.
• Gain experience in ensuring regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle, including understanding regulations and permitting requirements.
• Enhance your skills in identifying and overcoming challenges through innovative problem-solving approaches, utilizing both traditional and modern engineering techniques.

Project Leadership:

• Assist in managing project and project tasks, ensuring efficient coordination of timelines, budgets, and resources to achieve successful project outcomes.

• Minimum 5 years of full-time experience in relevant civil/site development engineering design with a PE in the State of Washington or ability to get reciprocity. (Internship experience is appreciated but does not count towards the three-year minimum requirement.)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs
• Proficiency and experience in AutoCAD for construction document creation.
• Preferred familiarity with Civil 3D and MicroStation.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven capability to work dynamically and effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for developing design and project management skills.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional client service and exceeding expectations.

Additional Information

Compensation:

The base salary for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate\'s experience, education, and skills. The expected range for a qualified candidate with 5-10 years of experience is $100,000-$135,000. Additionally, we offer performance-based bonuses to recognize and reward outstanding contributions in each Reporting Center.
