Job description

Responsibilities

• Investigate and analyze residential, commercial, and industrial properties to resolve claims and legal matters.
• Conduct forensic assignments in civil engineering based on pre-defined scope and budget.
• Perform field investigations to determine causes of construction defects, structural failures, or building envelope issues; document conditions, gather evidence, conduct interviews, oversee testing, and review drawings, contracts, and historical records.
• Prepare clear written and oral reports detailing findings, repair scope, and recommendations; provide expert testimony as needed.
• Manage multiple projects, coordinating with other experts to deliver timely client reports.
• Ensure adherence to procedures, safety standards, and due diligence.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.

Required Experience, Education, and Certifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering (or higher); P.E. required.
• 2–10+ years of experience; project management and field investigation preferred.
• Additional licenses/certifications may be required depending on location.
