Position

PSE Designs, Inc. is currently seeking a motivated and self‑driven engineer to join our Mobile, Alabama office. The position may be based in Sylacauga, Alabama with occasional travel between offices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare calculations, designs, reports, and drawings for industrial and commercial projects.
• Provide technical advice on designs and construction.
• Support site design, drainage calculations, stormwater system designs (open channel and underground piping), erosion control and BMP, parking lot layout, and minor road design.
• Prepare permitting paperwork and submittals to local governments.
• Work independently and as part of a team, serving as a self‑starter and collaborating with licensed engineers when applicable.
• Perform field duties as required.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in consulting; educational experience alone does not qualify.
• Degree in civil engineering.
• Experience with site design, drainage calculations, stormwater system designs (open channel and underground piping), erosion control and BMP, parking lot layout, and minor road design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD 2D; proficiency with Revit and Civil 3D would be a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam required.
• Professional Engineering license not required but a plus.
• Must be licensed to work in the United States; the employer will not cover the cost of an H1B visa.
• Experience in project management would be a plus.

Compensation

Anticipated salary $60,000 - $90,000 based on qualifications.
