Job summary

Selectek in Griffin, GA is seeking a Civil Engineer to develop conceptual and detailed designs using Civil 3D, ensuring project quality and accurate construction deliverables for clients.

You will review proposals, follow project parameters, interpret surveys, ensure compliance with codes and QA/QC policies, and communicate effectively with clients and team members to meet schedules and production goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• PE or EIT/FE highly preferred or ability to obtain Erosion Control Certification.
• 3–6+ years of relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

Immediate opening for a Civil Engineer in metro Atlanta.

Summary: This position will develop conceptual and detailed design plans using Civil 3D that ensure functionality and performance for the client’s project requirements aimed at assuring project quality and accuracy of construction deliverables.

Job Duties

• Exceptional understanding of how to develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with Project Manager
• Exceptional ability to follow parameters for each project, including design elements and implementation procedures
• Exceptional understanding of the framework used to develop and monitor project metrics and manage the collection of project data
• Foster and maintain an exceptional customer service attitude in all client interaction
• Exceptional knowledge of how to interpret survey
• Exceptional understanding of how to monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
• Exceptional knowledge of how to follow safety procedures by complying with federal and state regulations
• Exceptional communication and collaboration with team members on project schedules and production expectations
• Execute exceptional professionalism in all communication with client in timely and effective manner; able to translate technical data into terms understandable by client
• Maintain exceptional professionalism that encourages and enhances the company vision
• Possess exceptional knowledge of engineering principles and plan production
• Exceptional knowledge of design and draft concepts of engineering drawings
• Exceptional knowledge of site design and layout, including but not limited to: site planning, erosion control, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, domestic water and grading concepts
