Job summary

Providence Engineering and Environmental Group LLC in Baton Rouge is seeking a Civil Engineer to analyze survey data, plan transportation and water facilities, and oversee soil testing and design work. You will use AutoCAD and other design software to create compliant plans, coordinate with teams, and present findings to clients and regulatory bodies.

The ideal candidate will hold a B.S. in Civil Engineering, have construction compliance experience, and demonstrate initiative and teamwork.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) is required.
• Experience with construction compliance and project regulation is preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software is essential.

Responsibilities

• Analyze survey reports, maps, and data to plan and execute projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze survey reports, maps, and other data to plan and execute projects
• Compile and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies verifying that projects comply with various regulations
• Perform or oversee soil testing activities
• Use design software to plan and design transportation systems, hydraulic systems, and waste/water containment facilities in line with industry and government standards
• Perform or oversee, surveying operations to establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction
• Present their findings to the public and clients on topics such as bid proposals, environmental impact statements, and various project designs
• Manage the design, construction, repair, maintenance, and replacement of public and private infrastructure

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• B.S. in Civil Engineering
• Construction compliance experience
• Experience in preparing plans in AutoCAD
• Louisiana DOTD project experience preferred
• Work effectively as a team member
• Exercise initiative and innovative thinking
• Organize, prioritize and perform multiple tasks
