Job summary

Quanta Power Solutions is seeking a skilled Civil Designer to join our EPC team supporting power sector projects across gas turbines, renewables, BESS, substations and transmission. You will develop civil design deliverables and construction packages that are accurate, constructible, and integrated with other engineering disciplines.

In this role you will draft civil plans, conduct field investigations, assist with cost estimation, review drawings, and collaborate with engineers to ensure design

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology, CAD, or related field.
• At least 7 years civil drafting/design experience in EPC/industrial environments.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks and MS Office.
• Strong understanding of civil materials, infrastructure design and construction practices.
• Ability to interpret vendor equipment drawings and integrate into civil designs.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Willingness to visit job sites and customer locations.

This role is responsible for developing civil design deliverables and construction packages that are accurate, constructible, and fully integrated with other engineering disciplines.

What You'll Do

• Draft civil plans, layouts, and construction documents for roads, grading, drainage, and site infrastructure
• Conduct field investigations to verify design feasibility and site clearances

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Computer-Aided Drafting, or related field
• Minimum 7 years of experience in civil drafting and design, preferably within EPC or industrial environments
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong understanding of civil materials, infrastructure design, and construction practices
• Ability to interpret vendor equipment drawings and integrate them into civil design packages
• Strong communication, coordination, and presentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment
• Employee may be required to visit job sites, field offices, and customer locations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting power generation, substation, transmission, renewable, or industrial projects
• Familiarity with EPC project execution and multidisciplinary coordination
• Experience performing site development and grading design
• Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and permitting requirements
