Job summary

Atwell, LLC in Newark, Delaware is seeking a Civil CAD Drafter to support design staff by following drafting practices, standards, and procedures. You will produce a variety of civil drawings including site layout, grading, and utility plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Review surveys and legal documents, apply edits per comments from authorities, and coordinate with Project Managers to maintain project schedules and chargeability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; technical certificate or associate degree in drafting or engineering technology preferred.
• 4-10 years of civil design experience within residential, commercial, or industrial land development required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource for design staff regarding drafting practices, standards, and procedures.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software to complete assignments in line with Atwell standards.
• Produce civil drawings including site layout, grading, erosion control, storm sewer, water and sewer plans, construction layout and staking.
• Review project survey data to assess site conditions, ALTA surveys, legal descriptions and easement/ condo documents.
• Complete edits and revised plans based on comments from municipalities, agencies, and clients.
• Communicate with Project Managers and Team Leaders on workflow status to support chargeability and project schedule goals.

Job Description

Serve as a resource for design staff regarding drafting practices, standards, and procedures.

Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software to complete assignments accurately and in alignment with Atwell standards.

Produce a variety of civil engineering drawings including site layout, grading, soil erosion and sediment control, storm sewer, water, sanitary sewer plans, construction layout, and construction staking.

Review project survey data to assess existing site conditions and key development factors such as ALTA surveys, legal descriptions, easement documents, and condo documents.

Complete edits and revised plans based on comments from municipalities, agencies, and clients.

Communicate regularly with Project Managers and Team Leaders on workflow status to support chargeability and project schedule goals.
