Job summary

Olsson's Site Design team seeks a Design Technician in Nebraska to prepare planning and design documents and support construction design for mixed-use, commercial, and residential projects. You will draft plans, perform design calculations, and work with supervision to ensure quality.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree in drafting, some prior drafting experience, and knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D. You will collaborate with a team, attend client meetings when needed, and help update

Qualifications

Associate degree in drafting is required.
Prior drafting experience preferred.
Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D software is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assists with basic CAD operations including annotation, redline corrections, and plan publishing.
Uses design software to draft plans or incorporate information from past, current, and ongoing projects into models.
Performs engineering support tasks such as gathering data, updating and maintaining computer files, preparing copies of drawings, and documenting design changes.
Adds basic content to project production sheets including dimension/layout plans, title sheets, and detail sheets.
Receives initial instruction or guidance from a supervisor or project manager as work is subject to supervisor approval.
May be required to work in all types of terrain and weather conditions and on project sites in various stages of construction.
