Job summary

The HFW Companies is seeking a Designer for its partner firm, KFM Engineering & Design, to support civil land development and infrastructure projects across Texas. You will help prepare civil plans, site layouts, grading, drainage, utility designs, and related documents, using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other software.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D is required or achievable within a reasonable timeframe.
• Experience preparing civil engineering plans and construction documents for land development, infrastructure, utilities, grading, or drainage is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret engineering plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop civil engineering design plans, drawings, exhibits, and technical documents for land development and infrastructure projects.
• Assist with design and drafting of site layouts, grading and drainage plans, utility plans, roadway improvements, and related civil infrastructure.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design software to develop accurate plan sets.
• Review survey information and existing conditions to support project designs.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, surveyors, and team members to coordinate design elements.
