Job summary

TAIT is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to support land-development projects from preliminary layout through final plan production. You’ll perform grading, drainage analysis, street design and utility routing with Civil 3D and AutoCAD, collaborating with an experienced team.

Preferred B.S. in Civil Engineering, 1–3 years of civil experience, and EIT willingness. Remote/Hybrid options are available alongside a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering with 1–3 years’ experience in civil engineering; entry level considered.
• E.I.T. certification preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2009+ and Civil 3D; Hydrology/Hydraulics software experience.
• Experience with commercial-retail projects is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Transform initial rough product design information into construction documents using AutoCAD.
• Establish horizontal/vertical alignments, profiles, cross sections; perform earthwork calculations.
• Prepare drainage, grading, water, sewer, and storm drain plans for land development with Civil 3D.
• Draft engineering drawings to standards and prepare exhibits and constraint maps.
• Assist in field data collection and project coordination with the team.
