Job description

Job Description: Civil Engineer

RMF Engineering, a top-ranked national engineering firm specializing in building and utility infrastructure, is seeking a Civil Engineer with 5+ years of experience for its Infrastructure Division in Raleigh, NC.

About the Civil/Structural Division: The division provides engineering services for district energy utility systems, including site development, utilities, and complex phasing plans supporting campus expansions and sustainability projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Design construction documents for civil infrastructure and utility projects (site plans, profiles, details, stormwater management, phasing, traffic, and pedestrian control).
2. Coordinate with internal civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers.
3. Engage with Owners and external consultants to meet design requirements, under Project Manager guidance.
4. Conduct field work during design phases and site inspections during construction to verify progress and compliance.
5. Work directly with experienced PE's and designers, receiving dedicated training in software, engineering, and design.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience; EIT required, PE preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Basic understanding of civil engineering concepts with interest in mechanical and electrical infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD; Civil 3D preferred but not required.
